Alfreton Town 0

Who is Alan Pouton? Scott Brown. A human dynamo.
Who wasn't the man of the match? Brown, Clay, Pittman and Neilson: you name it, we got 'em.
"They could have had a few more again but pleased for their efforts and a bit of a turnaround from the last home game when I was told it's a shambles."
Nicky Law, sadly, is serving a ban, and assistant manager Russ O'Neill refused to speak to the media after the game. Can't say we blame him, really.
Well, what do you think? Just marvellous. Put it this way: there were several waves of attacks that brought 1991 back to life. Brown bullied, Neilson was a slimline tonic and Pittman a slinky jinky clever twister. Ruthless, irrepressible, a force of nature playing football. The complete opposite of the trash served up last week. It's amazing what two small, clever, quick footballers can do for a moribund carcass.
We could even have a free benevolent chortle along at Lennie's game of crazy golf in the second half.
I can't lie to you about their chances, but Alfreton do have my sympathy.
Without Wood it would have been well into double figures. They can't hide the fact they are the new Hyde.
Seventh heaven indeed.
Mr N Kinseley (Essex)
The human stopwatch was most lenient towards Mr Neilson and tried so very hard to be nice to the poor, poor Derbyshire Dregs. Did you say ears, Bert? No, 6, I said 6, Ernie.
Miss, goal, miss-miss-goal. Goal, goal, miss-miss-miss-miss-miss-goal-goal.
In a word: baffling
