Comparatively speaking
Surely the very nature of football, with its tables and numbers and points and goals scored and everything else screams out for charts. Charts and graphs and tables and analysis. It's not just me that thinks that, I know it's not. And to cater for those of you which a similar fascination I have produced the charts below.
I thought it might be interesting to compare this season to last just to see how the two match up. It's nothing complex. I've just plotted league position after a given match number and total points, goals scored and goals conceded, 2005-06 versus 2004-05. I guess, in a way, it'll give us an indication about how the Mariners' performance this season measures up against the performance 12 months ago. Perhaps.
