GTFC - attendance

Lincoln City, the impish little things, are another uninspiring club. Their attendance has sprung back and forth around the 80th place mark, admittedly with a little more variability of late, while their league position has done likewise.

As a result, their performance measure chart is distinctly uninteresting. Not once in the 15-year scope of our study have they over- or underperformed by 10 places or more. It seems they do what they do and no more, no less. They do exactly what it says on the tin. Almost. Their performance measure for the period since 1990-91 is -4. For the reduced period, 1997-98 onwards, it's +3.

Last season the Imps finished 74th with a performance measure of +1. They overperformed. Just. Next season, according to this study and its broadbrush assumptions, should see more of the same. Grimsby Town vs Lincoln City in the play-offs, anyone?
