Scunthorpe United are kind of boring, it seems. Their attendance has bobbed along the 80th place mark and their league position has pretty much followed it. As a result their season-by-season performance measure doesn't do anything interesting either. The exception is 2002-03, when they outperformed their attendance by 10 places and made it into the top 20 overperformers of the season.
Interestingly, last season, the year they won promotion, they underperformed. Their '04-05 performance measure was -1. In theory, they should have won the division. But it doesn't bode well for next season. Based solely on attendance, Scunthorpe United should be a yo-yo team bouncing to and fro between the third and fourth tiers.
