After the remarkable success of our previous two T-shirts the Cod Almighty leisurewear department had been trying to come up with a new design. We thought you deserve more. For ages and ages we racked our collective brain, and then came the League Cup tie against Charlton – one of very few Premiership sides Cod Almighty has a soft spot for. This and Football Focus's Cult Heroes series inspired us to come up with the magnificent new design below, celebrating a true Town great: Super Clive Mendonca.

Probably the best striker to pull on Town's black and white in the past 25 years or so, Clive defied a string of injuries to net over 60 lovely goals in his five years with GTFC before leaving for the Valley in 1997. Was he a crafty cockney, a gorgeous geordie or a sublime South American? We may never know – but we're paying tribute to the dude with this smashing new Cod Almighty T-shirt in sunny Brazilian yellow.
