The Mariners move up to 19th in the table with a 6-2 hammering of Wimbledon. After a wobbley performance in the first half Town were lucky to go in level at 2-2. Some "right words at the right time" from Groves saw the Dons under relentless pressure after the break. Adding another four goals, Alan Pouton and Michael Boulding completed their hat-tricks and the visiting keeper - Ian Feuer - was sent off after felling Boulding.

Elsewhere, former Mariners' defender Matthew Bloomer has joined up with former gaffer Alan Buckley at Lincoln, on loan from Hull.
