Conference Premier
In a nutshell
York City, the best football team in the Conference last season, were deservedly promoted. If justice had been done completely, Wrexham would have gone up with them. There's every chance it'll happen this time around.
On t'internet
Wrexham are one of those clubs, like Town, whose official website is part of the Premium TV chain. From the disastrous choice of display font to the exasperating practice of listing a 2-1 away win as "1-2", it is absolute dogshit. Happily for all concerned, the club boasts two decent and long-established independent sites in Red Passion and ONTTSS. We're puzzled to note the disappearance of the name 'One Nil to the Sheep Shaggers' from the latter. But despite promising "terrace culture", at least it hasn't beaten us up yet.
Overall record: P60 W23 D14 L23 F70 A77
At Blundell Park: P30 W16 D7 L7 F43 A24
At their place: P30 W7 D7 L16 F27 A53
Previous encounter: 25 August 2012
Town's goalless draw at the Racecourse Ground in the first month of this season left us with just two goals and no wins from the first four games. But in the wider context of the season, a point away at Wrexham can only be seen as a decent result. This is more than can be said for the point at home to Nuneaton Town which preceded it.

Town currently boast the third best home record in the division, and the third best away record, yet occupy second place in the league table. Not sure how that works. Maybe having played the extra game or something?

These are desperate times for the Town fan who likes a pint and a chat before home games. If you can suggest anywhere vaguely half-decent to go, we'd love to hear from you.
