Matt Lawton continues to piss people off

Regular reader and correspondent Paul Tuplin highlights some discrepencies with Matt Lawton's review of a day at the football.

Unbalanced

Fully agree with Baz's comments that The Times piece distorted the whole picture of the day. I didn't go on the Grimsby train (Stopped in Loughborough as my son is at university there, so got the train from there to Nottingham) but didn't see any trouble, even though there were a good number of Town fans, at the station or in any of the pubs.

There were two things in the Times article that were concerning and unbalanced. Why didn't they question County regarding how crowded and potentially dangerous the Town enclosure was when they could have opened up another section in a stand that holds 4000? And the article also allegedly covered the whole weekend in Nottingham, so why did Town receive probably 90 per cent of the coverage when Leicester fans caused far more trouble than us, but merely got a brief mention at the end.

Our reputation has been tarnished through very poor reporting and no doubt us fans will once again feel the brunt of that in regards of ticket allocations for the rest of the season!
