Cod Almighty | Diary
Ben Fox > Cesc Fabregas

Mr Target Demographic writes: Just before I begin, I'd like to recall what I said in my last diary three days before the final: "We. Can. Not. Lose." Those words exactly and thank God we did win because if we didn't, I believe the angry mob with pitchforks would have been out for me. Never in doubt.
On the basis of Miss Guest Diary recalling how Cod Almighty covered the news way back before I was even born in 2002, I shall change my style for today starting with the big news of yesterday: Niall Maher has signed for Grimsby Town on a free from Halifax Town. Blunt yes, but accurate nonetheless.
I like this signing, with Maher having been part of the National League team of the season alongside our own Luke Waterfall. It shows early signs of intent. Furthermore, it could lay the basis for the calibre of player Grimsby Town can now attract. With the new way we are being run, our recent success and the hope of more to come, we are becoming an club that players will want to join.
It makes a refreshing change from fearing players would be put off by our location. Especially with the recent social media rumours around Cesc Fabregas. Grimsby must have something about it that the sunny luxuries of Monaco do not. Perhaps it's the chippies? Nothing beats a sit down at Steel's.
Now that myenergi are our shirt sponsors, what would you think if our third kit was green, or had some green in it? I recently bought the new Nigeria strip. It has always been green and this year's kit is really nice. How could we incorporate green into our colours? One for the professionals: Macron, work your magic.
